Schambergs Disease
Schambergs Disease is the most common type of capillaritis. Crops of red-brown flat patches with cayenne pepper spots on their borders appear for no apparent reason. Although most common on the lower legs, Schamberg's can arise on any part of the body. It is usually irregularly distributed on both sides with few or many patches.
Schambergs Disease disease is more common in males and may occur at any age from childhood onward.

- There are usually no symptoms, although there may be some slight itching.
- The lesions are most frequent on the lower limbs, but may occur anywhere on the body, including the hands.

- leaky blood vessel walls which allow red blood cells to slip through into the skin.
- The red cells in the skin then fall apart and release their iron which has a rust color.
